Leadership
What are we really observing when we call someone a leader, or say they are not one?
PATRICK SAYE MENIBOONMBA THE HUMAN CALIBRATORGET IN TOUCH A Human Calibration podcast about what is actually shaping how we live, work, lead, decide, adapt, and change.
Some words explain less than we think they do.
Confidence · Leadership · Resilience · Introversion · Extroversion · Readiness · Resistance · Courage
These loaded summary words often compress, distort, or flatten what may actually be happening underneath.
Dialed In is where Patrick looks more closely. Each episode explores a different topic through one recurring discipline: What are we really observing, and what are we miscalibrating here?

Dialed In brings Patrick’s broader body of work into conversation.
The show brings Human Calibration into dialogue with real topics, real tensions, real experiences, and real organizational questions.
Every episode may start somewhere different. The conversation keeps returning to the same discipline: look beyond the visible result or the loaded summary word to what may actually be shaping it.
The topic changes.
The lens does not.
We use loaded summary words to describe people, performance, and behavior all the time.
These words often compress a much more dynamic set of conditions. They flatten the difference between what we see and what may be producing it.
Imagine an observer with no access to our loaded summary words: confidence, leadership, introversion, resilience. What would they actually see?
What is visible physically?
Tension, energy, posture, pacing, expression, activation, fatigue, regulation.
What seems to be happening cognitively?
Attention, focus, clarity, rumination, confusion, anticipation, overload.
What meaning is the person making?
Threat, possibility, identity, failure, safety, status, permission, expectation.
What are they doing, avoiding, repeating, hesitating, initiating, delaying, or abandoning?
What conditions surround the person or situation?
Incentives, pressure, relationships, norms, systems, role clarity, constraints, timing.
What values, goals, loyalties, priorities, or identity commitments may be shaping the behavior?
Human Calibration asks what we can observe before we decide what word to use.
We may treat the symptom, label the person, blame the technology, or prescribe more effort, more communication, or more discipline.
The thing we are responding to may not be the thing actually carrying the result.
Patrick remembers dealing with sciatic nerve pain and discovering that a magnesium issue might have been shaping more than the visible symptom. The experience stayed with him as a question about what he might have been missing.
Dialed In looks more carefully at what may be shaping the result.
What is actually shaping this result?

What is shaping adoption, hesitation, judgment, and decision-making when AI enters the system?
What do people think has to be fixed before they allow themselves to be seen?
What result are we reacting to, and what variables might actually be carrying it?
When does a description become a label, and when does a label become a cage?
Why do some interventions fail even when they look correct on paper?
What makes authority available, or withheld, in a person, a team, or a room?
What capacities are people building under strain that they have never learned to name?
Dialed In is for listeners who are tired of surface explanations.
The show asks what may be happening underneath the label, the summary word, or the obvious story.
It is for people who want to think more carefully about leadership, behavior, organizational change, AI adoption, visibility, authority, identity, human performance, and work and meaning.
If you are interested in what is actually shaping the result, this is the conversation.
